Our Fees Explained

At Bumi Kecil we’re not just running a school, we’re nurturing a community project. Families, teachers, and children all play a part in shaping it, and every contribution helps us grow stronger together. Enrolling isn’t only about covering fees, it’s about joining a place where children are encouraged to explore, create, and feel at home on Gili Air.

We also understand that no two family journeys are the same. Some settle here for the long term, while others are simply passing through Lombok and want their children to experience school life during their stay. That’s why we’ve designed two flexible pathways: full-year and short-term enrollment. Whichever option you choose, your child becomes part of a place where they learn through play, build friendships, and grow in a supportive environment.

How We Structure Contributions

One-time Enrollment Fee	Before your child even walks through our gates, there’s a lot happening behind the scenes. This one-time contribution secures their place and helps us prepare everything they need for a wonderful start, from their welcome pack and classroom materials to the administrative essentials.
Yearly Sustainability Fee	As a young and growing school, our monthly tuition covers the day-to-day running of Bumi Kecil, but it doesn’t cover everything. The Sustainability Contribution allows us to continue investing in the future of our school by expanding learning spaces, purchasing new educational materials, attracting and retaining exceptional teachers, and continuously improving the learning experience for every child. It also provides the stability that allows us to plan with confidence. As enrolment naturally changes throughout the year, this contribution helps ensure we can continue providing a consistent, high-quality education in a secure and well-supported environment. For families enrolling for the full academic year, the Sustainability Contribution is charged in full. For short-term enrolments, a proportional contribution is already included in the programme fee shown, so there is nothing additional to pay.

One-time Enrollment Fee

Note	Details
NISN Registration	Long-term students receive a National Student Identification Number (NISN), recognized across Indonesia and internationally. Short-term students do not.
Academic Calendar	2 semesters per year, 4 terms, 41 weeks / 217 school days.

Short Term Enrollment

Perfect for traveling families, digital nomads, or visitors to Lombok who want their children to join a meaningful school experience while on the island.

Enrollment Fee (short-term)	IDR 595,000	Covers school tour, t-shirt, name tags, onboarding, basic admin. Does not include parent–teacher conferences or NISN registration.

Note: If your child continues beyond 8 weeks, the full enrollment fee applies (minus what you’ve already paid). Short-term tuition can also be credited toward the full-year plan.

Enrollment Fee (one-time)	IDR 3,200,000	Covers parent–teacher conferences, school tour, t-shirt, name tags, onboarding, classroom materials, administration, and registration with a NISN (National Student Identification Number).
Tuition Fee	IDR 65,340,000 per year.	Payment plans of 12 installments of IDR 5,445,000 per month are possible.
Sustainability Contribution	IDR 6,380,000	Supports our school’s growth, resources, and projects to keep improving the Bumi Kecil experience.

Payment Terms

Fee	Payment Details
Enrollment Fee	A one-time contribution that secures your child’s spot at Bumi Kecil and helps us get everything ready for their start. It’s non-refundable and due within one week of confirmation. If you return after more than a year away, a reduced re-enrollment fee (50%) applies.
Sustainability Contribution	This is how we invest in the future of our school, new materials, classrooms, and great teachers. We kindly ask families to pay it upfront for the year if possible, but it can also be spread across 12 months together with tuition.
Monthly Tuition	Tuition is due at the end of each month for the month ahead.
Payment Method	We prefer direct bank transfer, and many families set up an automatic transfer so they never have to think twice. Our account details are shared on each invoice.
Late Payment	If payment is late without prior notice, a 3% fee per week will be added.
Withdrawal	If your family decides to move on, we ask for six weeks’ written notice so we can prepare and offer the place to another child on our waitlist.
Extended Leave	Going on a longer trip? We’ll happily hold your child’s place as long as tuition continues to be paid. If payments stop, the place will be released, but you’ll always be at the top of the waitlist if you wish to return.
Refund Policy	All tuition and fees are non-refundable, as each contribution goes directly into keeping our school strong and stable for the children.
